Assunta Hospital was founded by a group of missionary sisters from the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary (FMM) in 1954. Over and beyond its legacy of providing excellent and compassionate care, it remains dedicated to a mission that values the sanctity of life and places the highest priority on treating every individual with dignity, further adding to its uniqueness. Today, after 56 years, Assunta Hospital continues its commitment of practicing good clinical governance, providing high quality and safe healthcare delivery from its modern 344-bed, technologically advanced specialist hospital, covering a wide range of specialties and subspecialties. Assunta Hospital was the first private hospital in Malaysia to be ISO 9001-2008 certified and awarded by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health with a full three-year Hospital Accreditation. This further embodies the hospital’s promise of providing patients with high quality and safe healthcare delivery within a setting centred on warmth, comfort and compassion regardless of race, colour, creed or gender.
