Association Tribu

About Association Tribu

Tribu has existed in Mayenne since 1999. It produces the "Un Singe en Été" festival, which takes place over two days on the last weekend of June in the Parc du château de Mayenne. Since 2021, it has been implementing a touring concert season called Pampa!. In parallel, it develops artistic and cultural education activities as well as local outreach initiatives throughout the region. It also coordinates an artist support program named "Grand Atelier". Throughout the year, about fifty volunteers work on developing projects, supported by 2 employees. It currently mobilizes over 300 volunteers for its various projects. The association pursues a cultural and educational project centered on contemporary music, promoting openness to the world, militant engagement, and the sharing of humanist values. It is building a project that is part of a dynamic of local development and regional structuring by encouraging experimentation, breaking down sector silos, and working transversally with numerous partners. It carries out cultural activities for hundreds of audiences through various partnerships with local stakeholders. The association builds strong relationships with social actors (community centers, street educators...), educational institutions (middle and high schools), and medical facilities (the hospital, CMP, IME...) for cultural and outreach projects. Tribu is strongly committed to the transversality of its offerings, allowing for the porosity of practices and discoveries, as well as the cross-pollination of audiences. Its project aims to imagine partnerships with all cultural stakeholders in the region (Le Kiosque, Atmosphère 53, Les Entrelacés...). Recent years have seen significant evolution in the structure with the maturation of its tools, which have stabilized to better serve the association's project in diffusion, as well as in artistic and cultural education.
