Askora specializes in healthy food and person-centered care and support services. Our team of over 500 professionals, 93% of them women, serves communities daily in Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa, Navarra, La Rioja, and the south of France. Food is the foundation of our activity, and our priority is to offer healthy, quality raw materials. For this reason, we work with local and environmentally friendly suppliers, serving organic and local foods on 50% of service days. Mahi-Mahi is our benchmark model for managing school canteens and playgrounds, focusing on the development of children during their midday break. Created in 2016, stemming from our innovative nature, it was a finalist project in the ServiceDesignAwards 2017 and received the 2019 Experiencias en Igualdad de Mujeres y Hombres award from the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. Askora Nagusi, our unit for elder care, has developed a care model based on addressing the needs of each user in our centers, aiming to improve their quality of life. To achieve this, we work on cognitive abilities and personal autonomy through non-pharmacological therapies. Our goal is people's well-being, which is why we carry out various initiatives to promote healthy habits and emotional well-being. Our commitment to society also leads us to collaborate with associations and NGOs in our community, creating joint initiatives to improve the world.
