La Caja de Arquitectos, S. Coop. de Crédito, is a financial institution created by and for professionals, in order to meet their specific savings and credit needs. The Caja was established on March 2, 1983, at the initiative of the governing bodies of the Colleges of Architects, the Brotherhood, and the Superior Council, bodies that in turn echoed the interest of the Colleges in having their own financial institution, expressed at the Granada Congress in 1981. Since its creation, the Caja has been carrying out and promoting cooperative credit, serving the financial needs of its associated cooperatives and their members, as well as financing operations aimed at the social improvement of its components. Specializing in the financial issues of Architects, the Caja offers them the best economic conditions for remuneration and cost of money, in free competition with banks and savings banks.
