About Arkin
Arkin is one of the largest mental healthcare institutions in the Netherlands. Clients can come here for treatment of all their psychiatric conditions. People can also turn to Arkin for addiction problems. Approximately 35,000 clients are treated annually at Arkin. Arkin has fifty locations in Amsterdam where these clients can go, plus twelve clinics where clients stay for shorter or longer periods. The length of stay depends on the phase the illness is in. Around 4,000 people work at Arkin. This includes colleagues from Roads, the brand that offers daytime activities for (former) clients. The annual turnover is approximately 200 million euros. Arkin has existed since 2008 (merger JellinekMentrum and AMC de Meren). Care is offered under eight service brands: Mentrum, PuntP, Spoedeisende Psychiatrie Amsterdam, Inforsa, Novarum, Jellinek, NPI and Roads.
