Arkil builds bridges, lays cables, and creates connections. We clean contaminated soil, build sewers, and deliver a cleaner environment. We construct from scratch, build foundations, produce asphalt, and pave the way forward. We maintain the road once it is built and preserve its high standard. Arkil builds for the future, and our motto is “Quality on time”. GEOGRAPHICAL AREA OF OPERATION The company offers its services to both the domestic market and the international market. The domestic market includes Denmark, Northern Germany, Ireland, and Sweden. The international market includes the rest of Northern Europe, as well as individual infrastructure projects abroad. However, the domestic markets form the foundation for the company's international activities and must be prioritized as such. HISTORY In 1937, civil engineer Ove Arkil took the then quite significant step of moving from Copenhagen to Southern Jutland with his wife Ellen Arkil and their then three children – two more children later came from the marriage. The purpose was to start a Southern Jutland branch of the then construction company, Person Kleins Efterfølger A/S, Gentofte, of which Ove Arkil was a co-owner.
