Aristo Pharma was founded in 2008 from the merger of various traditional German pharmaceutical companies, with roots dating back in some cases to 1875. The current core business of Aristo Pharma is the manufacture and distribution of sought-after active ingredients in the generics market, which are usually sold under its own brand. The company's independent production differentiates the group from most German drug providers. In addition, the diverse range of prescription and over-the-counter medications extends from established herbal remedies to modern medical products and aids. The composition of the Aristo Pharma Group is as diverse as its product portfolio: in addition to the company headquarters in Berlin, the group includes five production sites – in Hilden, Wernigerode, twice in the capital city of Berlin, and in Madrid – as well as its own logistics center in Osterweddingen. This makes Aristo Pharma one of the few providers in Germany that primarily manufacture their medicines in Germany or Europe. Together with the 14 sales locations throughout Europe, the company can draw on the expertise of more than 1,600 employees.
