About ARGE Baurecht

The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Bau- und Immobilienrecht im Deutschen Anwaltverein (ARGE Baurecht) is a nationwide association of specialized lawyers in construction law. With approximately 2,000 members, it forms a strong professional network in private construction and architectural law. Our work focuses on continuous professional development in construction and architectural law, collegial exchange at a scientifically sound and practice-oriented level, monitoring legislative developments, and promoting young legal talent in private construction law. To promote efficient dispute resolution in construction, ARGE Baurecht has developed the SOBau 2020 (Arbitration and Conciliation Rules for Construction). We also offer qualified arbitration training for construction lawyers. Our members advise and represent architects, engineers, construction companies, project developers, and public clients on all aspects of private construction law – from contract design and construction-related advice to the assertion of claims in court and out of court. Through construction law conferences, professional publications, and position papers, we contribute to the further development of construction and architectural law and to safeguarding legal specialization.
