About Apothekersorganisatie KNMP

The KNMP is the overarching professional and trade organization for pharmacists and pharmacies in the Netherlands. We represent the interests of our 5,500 members, advocate for the pharmacies in which they work, and promote excellent pharmaceutical patient care. More than 90% of all pharmacists in the Netherlands are members of the KNMP. Our members work in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, or in roles related to medicine & society, such as with government agencies. We do this for pharmacists, pharmacies, and pharmacy. The KNMP supports pharmacists in their daily professional practice and business operations and helps members maintain quality within pharmacy practice. The KNMP does this by, among other things: Offering products and services, such as medication advice, medication monitoring advice, support for pharmacy compounding, and data on medication use. Formulating a vision for professional practice. Raising issues such as medication availability with government and stakeholders. Stimulating excellent pharmaceutical patient care by the pharmacist as a medication specialist. Promoting the scientific practice of pharmacy in the Netherlands. The KNMP stands for the Royal Dutch Society for the Advancement of Pharmacy and has been active since 1842.
