APM is derived from a motoring manufacturing conglomerate of auto part manufacturers in Malaysia established in the 70s, with strong motoring DNA in its infancy, playing a role as one of the pioneers in Malaysia's early automotive era. The first plant was officially declared open on July 12, 1980, by Tun Dr. Mahathir, then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Industry of Malaysia. Establishing close ties and co-operation with world-renowned international technical collaborators in auto parts manufacturing yielded promising results and led to APM’s never-ending strive towards auto component manufacturing engineering excellence. A journey that is at par with the current automotive standards while adhering in synergy to a sensitive environment manufacturing industry.
