Antarte

About Antarte

Antarte was born in 1998 as a company dedicated to the trade of antiques and art. These two business areas are at the genesis of the brand's name, whose name results from the fusion of “antiquity” with “art”: Antarte. By the end of the first year of activity, the brand focused on timeless design furniture: furniture that combines elegance with functionality and comfort. This strategic change led to the creation of the first industrial unit. We are a 100 percent Portuguese company, a leader in home decor trends in Portugal. Our goal is to make premium quality, functional furniture, with sustainable raw materials that bring comfort and timeless design to the most personal space in life: the home. Antarte has stood out for developing exclusive pieces for prominent personalities such as Pope Benedict XVI, former President Cavaco Silva, coach José Mourinho, or national coach Fernando Santos. We work in close collaboration with renowned designers such as Álvaro Siza Vieira, Joana Vasconcelos, or Nini Andrade Silva. The founding energy of Antarte is the passion for creating Design for Life.
