ANDALTEC is a high-tech SME with research capacities recognized as National Plastic Technological Centre in Andalusia (Spain). Our main objectives focus on improving the competitiveness of companies mainly of plastics and processed metals sectors and strengthening the economy through research, technological development and innovation. The organisation is made up of a professional staff of over 170 employees from diverse technical specialization. This team consists on PhD, PhD students, Engineers, Designers, Chemistry and Physics Graduates. In addition, ANDALTEC personnel include experts in the field of polymers who know the industrial reality in depth and provide appropriate solutions which best meet the needs of enterprises. Our main expertise areas include lighting for the automotive industry, product and process design, environmental issues, new materials, and packaging solutions. Our R&D Infrastructure features product and process development with CAD design and simulation processes (Mechanical, Thermical, Optical, Rheology, Liquid Composites Molding), prototyping technologies, a Physic and Chemistry Laboratory for analysis and testing with plastic materials and finished products, Dimensional Metrology for precision engineering measurements, pilot plants with injection machines, extruders, and laser welding to validate plastic products manufacturing processes, and an Optical and photometric Lab. Our Technological Offers encompass CAD-CAE Design, development of new products, product simulations, development of Nanocomposites, polymer composites for light weight components, active and intelligent packaging, validation test for food contact materials, conversion of waste plastics into fuel, laser welding for plastic products, development of new lighting systems, novel optical systems, innovative automotive lighting technologies, LED technology, and R&D Project Management.
