The National Agency for Holiday Vouchers (Agence Nationale pour les Chèques-Vacances) is a public institution established in 1982 to manage Holiday Vouchers. These payment instruments are issued by ANCV and distributed to employees through their works council to help them go on vacation. 3.3 million employees benefit from them; 20,000 works councils (60% of the total) are clients of ANCV; 160,000 tourism professionals accept Holiday Vouchers as payment. The issuance value of Holiday Vouchers is €1.3 billion. The profits generated by this activity are entirely used to finance vacation programs for disadvantaged populations (especially single-parent families, young adults, the elderly, people with disabilities) through partnerships with charitable associations and local authorities.
