About Amegreen Children's Services

Amegreen Children’s Services was founded in 2013 with a heartfelt mission to provide safe, supportive, and nurturing environments for vulnerable children and young people. Nestled in the beautiful rural surroundings of Berkshire, our homes offer a warm welcome to children aged 5 to 18 years old who require care, understanding, and stability to thrive. We are proud that our homes are rated Good and Outstanding by Ofsted, reflecting our commitment to high-quality care and consistent, child-focused support. In addition to our residential care, we proudly operate SEN Primary and Secondary schools in West Berkshire, supporting children from Year 3 to Year 11. Our schools are designed to meet the diverse needs of our pupils, including those with Emotionally Based School Avoidance, Anxiety, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (which may affect speech and language development), Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD), Cognitive Brain Delay, trauma, and sensory processing difficulties. We also offer Stable Futures, our Equine Assisted Therapeutic Service, which promotes healing from trauma through powerful, horse-led interventions. Based locally to all our homes, the centre is home to twelve incredible horses and ponies. All young people in our care have access to this unique service, which helps build trust, confidence, emotional regulation, and self-esteem through meaningful connections with animals. At Amegreen, we are committed to delivering a holistic approach that combines therapeutic care, specialist education, and innovative therapy. Our aim is to empower every child with the tools, confidence, and emotional resilience they need to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.
