About Almawave Labs

Almawave Labs is the R&D NewCo of the Almaviva Group, dedicated to the development of sovereign artificial intelligence technologies, platforms, and products. It combines expertise and know-how gained from over 15 years of experience and field-tested in hundreds of national and international projects. It creates the generative AI models of the Velvet family — velvet 25B, velvet 14B, velvet 2B, and velvet 2B speech — and specialized AI technologies in the fields of voice, vision & physical, and symbolic knowledge. As the Almaviva Group's global strategic development center for innovation in AI applied to all market sectors it serves and increasingly integrated into the solutions of all its companies, Almawave Labs has approximately 100 AI experts, including over 30 PhDs, supported by professors, permanent academic consultants, and joint laboratories with leading universities and organizations active in this field. Adhering to the European GPAI code of practice, it can rely on a solid compliance approach attested by 11 certifications, including ISO 42001 for AI development, ACN QC1, and QC2.
