Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg

About Albrecht Dürer Airport Nürnberg

Easily accessible with a direct subway connection, short distances to the terminal and over 8,000 parking spaces, as well as excellent personal service – this makes Nuremberg Airport Germany's most popular airport (Business Traveller Award Winner 2008-2019). The central security checkpoint directly between Check-In Hall 1 and 2 guarantees the shortest possible route to the aircraft. Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg is the international airport for the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region and is among the top 10 large German commercial airports. Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg is the home airport for many globally active companies such as Siemens, Schaeffler, or adidas, for whom a well-functioning airport is an important location factor for global connectivity. The diverse holiday offerings from tour operators and airlines simultaneously find high demand from our strong catchment area. Around 1,000 jobs at Flughafen Nürnberg GmbH and its subsidiaries generate over 100 million euros in annual revenue. The over 4,000 jobs directly at the airport site achieve a value creation of 270 million euros. If all 12,000 direct and indirect jobs associated with the airport are considered, the value creation amounts to over 1 billion euros. These effects generate many times the operating costs.
