Lebenshälfte im Land Brandenburg e.V. is a house of opportunities: a place for education, encounters, and engagement, and at the same time a platform where people develop ideas, share experiences, and help shape society. As a statewide educational provider, we combine further education and social development. We create learning and meeting spaces, develop participation formats, and provide impetus for an active, self-determined, and supportive life in the second half of life. The focus is on the diverse potential of older people. We want to preserve, strengthen, and make this potential visible, while also creating spaces where people of different ages and backgrounds can talk to each other, learn from each other, and initiate new things together. To this end, we develop and design: - Offers for general, cultural, political, and professional education - Innovative educational and participation formats - Projects on social and regional challenges - Opportunities for engagement and participation - Learning and meeting spaces at eight locations in Brandenburg - Cooperations with municipalities, organizations, and other partners We understand education not as something that ends in the classroom. Education opens up possibilities. Encounters create connections. Engagement changes society. We have been shaping this approach in Brandenburg for more than 30 years.
