The Organic Waste Recycling Centre Phase 2 (O·PARK 2) is located in Sha Ling, North District, covering an area of approximately 2.5 hectares. O·PARK 2 can process 300 tons of food waste daily and generate biogas for renewable energy, with the remaining biogas used for electricity generation. The residues from this process are converted into fertilizer, serving as a byproduct for landscaping and agricultural applications. O·PARK 2 is owned by the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. AJA O-Power Limited (AJA) is responsible for its operation for a period of 15 years. AJA is a joint venture of Agrivert, JEC, and Alchmex.
