About AICORN

At a public transport operator with 300 trams, approximately 17,820 hours of maintenance per year are needed just for the error analysis of electronic components. We at the startup aicorn from Karlsruhe want to tackle this and much more. We are developing a vehicle-independent solution to capture and utilize vehicle data: plug-and-play for workshops and fleets to determine vehicle status. In the IT world, we now have software systems available that open up completely new possibilities in terms of efficiency, usability, and data analysis. We want to make these usable for the rail industry. Our goal is to increase vehicle availability and safety in regional rail transport, while simultaneously reducing energy consumption and optimally supporting employees (#shortage of skilled workers). Especially in maintenance, a lot of time and effort is wasted due to unused data. Therefore: Utilizing resources = conserving resources!
