About Agnico Eagle Finland

Agnico Eagle Finland Oy is a subsidiary of Agnico Eagle Mines Limited. It operates the Kittilä mine and conducts active exploration in Finland and elsewhere in the Nordic countries. Our annual production is about 7,500 kilograms of gold. Our company employs 500 of its own employees and about 600 employees from contracting companies. More than 50 percent of our own employees are from Kittilä and about 90 percent are from Lapland. The current production plans for the Kittilä mine extend to the mid-2030s. We are currently implementing an investment program that includes, among other things, a mine shaft extending to a depth of 1044 meters, an expansion of the concentrator, and environmental construction projects. We invest in research and development with the goal of a safe and environmentally friendly mine utilizing cutting-edge technology for future mining professionals.
