About AFIP-Associação Fundo de Incentivo à Pesquisa

AFIP - Associação Fundo de Incentivo à Pesquisa - is a private, non-profit, and philanthropic institution founded in the 1970s by healthcare professionals, university professors, and researchers. Its objective is to provide financial support for teaching activities, scientific research, and community medical care, with an emphasis on public health services. In addition to its headquarters, AFIP maintains over 50 locations in 6 Brazilian states to fulfill its statutory and social purposes. With AFIP's support, more than 500 scientific works have been carried out and published in indexed journals, as well as in congresses, symposia, courses, etc. The institution has Municipal (decree 17338/81), State (law 2384/80), and Federal (decree 95.985/88) Public Utility recognition and the Certificate of Philanthropic Social Assistance Entity (resolution no. 7 of CNAS, dated February 3, 2009). For research and teaching actions, AFIP, through its units, may establish specific partnerships with research funding agencies and universities. In its more than 40 years of activity, AFIP has consolidated its business model: research and its direct application in society. It maintains financial balance with constant technological updates, humanized care, and expansion of its own and support service base.
