About AFIP

AFIP – The Research Incentive Fund Association – is a private, non-profit, philanthropic institution founded in the 1970s by health professionals, university professors, and researchers. Its objective is to provide financial support for teaching, scientific research, and community medical care activities, with an emphasis on public health services. In addition to its headquarters, AFIP operates over 50 locations across 9 Brazilian states to fulfill its statutory and social objectives. With AFIP's financial support, more than 1,200 scientific works have been conducted and published in indexed journals, as well as presented at congresses, symposiums, and courses. The institution holds Municipal (Decree 17338/81), State (Law 2384/80), and Federal (Decree 95.985/88) Public Utility recognition, along with the Certificate of Beneficent Social Assistance Entity (Resolution No. 7 of CNAS, February 3, 2009). For research and teaching initiatives, AFIP, through its centers, may establish specific partnerships with research funding bodies and universities. In its more than 40 years of activity, AFIP has solidified its business model: research and its direct application in society. It maintains financial balance through continuous technological updates, humanized care, and the expansion of its own and support services.
