About Accem

Accem is a non-profit, state-wide organization whose mission is to defend fundamental rights and to care for and support people in situations of social exclusion or at risk of it. With a trajectory of over 25 years, Accem works to improve people's living conditions and to facilitate the inclusion of vulnerable individuals. It is considered a public utility entity by the Ministry of the Interior and operates nationwide, present in 12 Autonomous Communities and in Ceuta and Melilla, assisting over 24,000 people annually. As a pioneer entity in opening reception centers and assisting refugees, for over 25 years it has participated in managing migratory contingents, providing humanitarian aid, and working with numerous vulnerable groups. Accem's objective is to promote rights, duties, and opportunities for all, without distinction, defending human rights as an integral part of its work. The organization's guiding values are the ideals that form its foundation: diversity, social justice, and social commitment.
