Message from the Chairman (excerpt from website): We extend our warmest regards to all. Nenchō no Sato was born in 1950 as 'Yawata Yōrōin' and was incorporated in 1952. In 1989, we strove to 'establish all elderly welfare facilities in one location' in Okura, Yahatahigashi-ku, close to the city center. Currently, on approximately 9,000 tsubo (about 30,000 sqm) of land, we are developing Nenchō no Sato into a unique 'comprehensive department store for care and medical services' in Japan, equipped with various care facilities, a clinic (memory loss outpatient service), and home-based services such as care plan creation, day services, day care, home-visit nursing care, and visiting nursing. We actively address the complaints and needs of our users through the 'Welfare Ombudsman Committee' and request your strict guidance. We will strive to improve the quality of our services. Guided by the spirit of 'Righteousness surpasses profit' and practicing 'Treating our own old age as old age, and extending this to the old age of others' (a quote from the Analects), we believe welfare is a service industry based on mutual support. We aim to support the fulfillment of our users' lives and provide the best care services in Japan. We will comply with laws and regulations, enhance management transparency, and continue to be a 'safe haven for care and prevention' as a central comprehensive provider of community welfare services. With the motto of 'Greeting, Smiling, Polite Language, and Consideration,' we contribute to the local community and welfare through unique Nenchō no Sato initiatives such as the 'Ikiiki Welfare Lectures' and the 'Tasukeai Workers Project.' We are supported by over 3,500 volunteers annually, which rejuvenates our users with fresh external perspectives and helps our staff maintain their professionalism and prevent routine. We express our sincere gratitude and humbly request your continued support and encouragement. Sincerely, Seiju Haga, Chairman of Nenchō no Sato. Social Contribution: * Ikiiki Welfare Lectures: A hub for disseminating information on health promotion and life support for the elderly in the community. Since October 2000, we have held monthly lectures on the third Thursday, themed around 'Medical Care, Nursing Care, Diet, Housing, and Local Topics' to help elderly residents live healthy and fulfilling lives. Over 120 lectures have been held, with more than 5,500 participants. * Volunteer Appreciation Gathering: An event for networking and discussion with over 3,000 volunteers annually. We host an 'Appreciation Gathering' for volunteers to foster exchange and discussion. The first event was held in January 1996, where we present certificates of appreciation and enjoy a buffet and lucky draws. * Community Interaction Salon: Located at Nenchō no Sato Kokura Sanhigi (East Building). It is utilized for community events and seminars for local residents. * Ombudsman Committee: Nenchō no Sato pioneered the Welfare Ombudsman system in Fukuoka Prefecture in April 1999. The 'Nenchō no Sato Welfare Ombudsman Committee' is an independent third-party organization that listens to the requests, opinions, and complaints of users of Nenchō no Sato's various services, their families, volunteers, and interns, and proposes improvements. For opinions or requests regarding our services, please use the 'Suggestion Box' at each facility, consult directly during the regularly scheduled 'Ombudsman Committee Patrol Consultations,' or mail your concerns directly to an Ombudsman Committee member.
