Mingji Biopharmaceutical (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was founded in San Francisco, USA in 2014. The company currently has two offices in China: a CMC pilot production base located in the China Resources Life Science Industrial Park in Daxing District, Beijing, and a research and development center at the Beijing University of Agriculture in Changping District, Beijing. The company was formed by a team of overseas experts who graduated from top US universities and had long-term employment at renowned US biopharmaceutical companies. Several founders possess extensive experience in the R&D of innovative monoclonal and bispecific antibody drugs, and have served as principal inventors or project leaders in advancing drug candidates into the clinical stage. The company has established a series of proprietary antibody drug R&D technology platforms, including unique antibody intelligent design and dynamic evolution screening as the core of its innovative antibody engineering technology for antibody screening and humanization, an immune checkpoint target and antibody validation platform, and a stable cell line construction platform. Early-stage antibody drug development projects for immune checkpoint inhibitors (PD-1 and PD-L1), which the company completed, have been successfully transferred to a well-known domestic listed pharmaceutical company and are currently in the clinical approval stage. Concurrently, leveraging these technology platforms and our profound understanding of the tumor immunology field and antibody engineering, we have innovatively designed and developed multiple innovative monoclonal and bispecific antibody drugs targeting tumor and immune-related diseases, establishing our unique innovative drug R&D pipeline. In 2018, Mingji Biopharmaceutical partnered with Lilly Asia Ventures, a renowned venture capital firm, and completed Series A financing of over 100 million RMB. We are currently establishing a complete antibody drug development industry chain, covering upstream antibody drug screening and validation platforms, as well as downstream small-scale pilot, pilot production, and drug analysis quality control platforms for antibody drug manufacturing. This enables us to rapidly and efficiently advance the preclinical research of innovative antibody drugs with significant clinical application prospects.
