Shuangxing is an old state-owned rubber enterprise with 98 years of history. It is a state-owned main board listed company in Shandong Province's tire industry and the current chairman unit of the Tire Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association. It once created a famous brand in the history of China's shoe industry and fully transformed into the tire industry in 2008. Currently, it has formed four major industrial systems: tires, intelligent equipment, industrial intelligent logistics (including robots), and green ecological recycling of waste rubber. In recent years, Shuangxing has embarked on a new journey of "second entrepreneurship, creating a world-renowned Shuangxing brand." Seizing the opportunity of the fourth industrial revolution, it has accelerated the intelligent transformation of the enterprise and taken the lead in establishing the world's first full-process "Industry 4.0" intelligent factory in the global tire industry. Over the past five years, it has been awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a pilot demonstration enterprise for the entire industrial chain in "brand cultivation," "technological innovation," "quality benchmark," "intelligent manufacturing," "green manufacturing," and "service transformation," and has been called the "leader of intelligent manufacturing in China's tire industry" and rated as an "advanced model enterprise for productive forces nationwide." Shuangxing brand has been ranked among the "Top 500 Asian Brands" and "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" for four consecutive years. In August 2018, it was included in the "Double Hundred Action" plan for state-owned enterprise reform. In order to develop into a more scaled international tire enterprise, it officially acquired control of Kumho Tire on July 6, 2018. The two parties will collaborate, starting with being leaders in user demand, to create a globally respected tire brand.
